Dr. Ashley Shulski

Ph.D., MSW, LCSW, CCTP

I am a dedicated trauma therapist committed to helping individuals heal and have the courage to do the hard things keeping them from flourishing.

Your journey with me is centered around a personalized plan that meets your needs and helps you obtain the goals you have that have brought you to work with me. I recognize a "one size fits all" approach does not work. I offer a combination of specialized, individualized, and trauma-informed approaches that meet your needs and goals.

Grounded in a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore their experiences and uncover their resilience.

My practice is rooted in empathy, compassion, resilience, and flexibility, tailored to meet each person's unique needs and goals.

Over the past 25 years, I have provided short-term counseling, crisis interventions, advocacy, and trauma therapy to individuals and families. My experience includes community mental health, integrated care, and private practice, with clinical expertise including trauma, complex trauma, developmental trauma, dissociation, attachment issues, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

I believe in the transformative power of connection and self discovery, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward growth and well-being.

I bring clinical expertise in relationships, attachment, and resilience to help you reduce the impact of traumatic experiences and foster a more fulfilling life.

I am certified in Autplay® therapy and have experience providing services to neurodivergent children, adolescents, and their families. Although I primarily work with adults, my approach still includes a combination of person-centered therapy, attachment therapy, and play-based interventions, as well as primarily utilizing EMDR in sessions.

As a clinician, I am grounded in the Bowen Family System and Structural Dissociation theories. Although individuals seek to work with me, it is necessary to address the entire family system since there are multiple people in a person’s family unit.
